There are very solid rumours going around that Google is working on a streaming games console.
Yeti, the project nickname, could be unveiled at GDC 2019 this month. Google is hosting a special event at the show where it will reveal a new gaming project.
Those rumours have gone into a bit of a frenzy this week, as a patent revealing a controller was leaked.
The Google controller was leaked recently
The controller looks… an awful lot like the Ouya controller. That’s not necessarily a compliment.
However, we do like a few of the features. The voice activation button at the bottom is nifty, while the typical Android buttons above the mysterious Google button will definitely come in handy.
Also, those little coloured buttons and d-pad are cute. Go on, admit it!
We’ll keep you updated as we learn more. Google is yet to confirm that this controller is the real deal, and is unlikely to until next week during its event.
